Dead Reckoning: Brassfield Manor - A Mystery Hidden Object Game (Full) App Reviews

Youve gotta get Dead Reckoning, a stellar story illustrated in Eipixs signature Art Deco style. No fairies, beasts, goblins, curses, potions, amulets, time travel or black magic....just an honest-to-goodness whodunit murder mystery with a satisfying assortment of mini-games & exceptional HOPs, and abundant after-game play opportunities. Keep em comin!

Fun

Great game so far, lets hope its long enough to justify the 9.99 price tag!

Four and a half stars

Very good but for two little frustrations: 1) I hate having to go through the menu to get to the map. The map should be accessible directly. 2) When zoomed in on a HO scene, when you find an item, you are automatically zoomed back out. I often want to stay zoomed in to look for something else. Otherwise, very good, indeed!

Boring

Come on BF, another useless game and Im sick of constantly spending $4 for sub par games. Why cant we go back to the original procedure of trying before buying, Id rather spend the extra money and get what I want.

Dead Reckoning- deadly fun!

No fairy tale here! If you enjoyed the first in the series you will be thrilled with this mystery! Collecting cards in every scene, morphing objects in HO only. A wealthy businessman throws a murder mystery party only its the host who dies! Set in the roaring 20s with Art Deco styling the artwork is superb! Gameplay is smooth, has transporting indicated map. You will be using your brain on this one for sure! Ho are well drawn, mini games are varied and you have to process clues, interrogate suspects and put it all together. No custom difficulty or designated left hand mode however the layout makes it easy and accessible for either hand. No rats or snakes so far. Verdict: buy!

I Reckon its a Good One! Will You Join the Party?

One of my favorite series is back for an intriguing "whodunit" mystery! While throwing a party at the Brassfield Manor, a wealthy business man, Reginald Greer, turns up dead; and you, as a detective, are called in to investigate this mystery. The graphics are colorful and clear but are also slightly grainy and faded. Many shades of brighter colors are used to portray a sort of Art Deco vibe. This game is not lacking in innovative game structure. You will use deduction and reasoning through the use of your Suspect/Evidence book. Here you will make connections between how pieces of evidence might relate to a suspect to determine who the murderer is. Your Suspects tab will record info on each suspect along with a photo. The Evidence tab will store collected material clues, such as letters, notes, and jewelry. When you interrogate suspects, your thoughts are noted in the circle to the left of the screen. You also use the famous detectives kit to analyze data and collect clues. You will choose which tool to use according to riddles at times. This game has the "pan around" effect where your view moves from one interactive area to another in sequence. There are three modes of difficulty without an option to customize settings. The inventory is labeled; interactive; and puzzle-like, such as grinding coffee beans. The fast teleportation map is located through the menu, which is an unnecessary extra step; and it will indicate your objectives and tasks, if applicable. The HOS are fun and varied; they range from interactive word lists ending with a riddle to finding shapes or sketches of items, also ending with a riddle. You can play a bubble shooter game instead. Nice twist for a change. The puzzles are fun and interesting. One type was to slide tokens around a path to its proper location by working around gears that change the path. You are collecting morphing objects in the HOS, as well as Tarochi Cards and some masks in the locations. Your collectible card indicator is to the left of the inventory bar. The extras include replay of puzzles and HOS, bubble shooter game, souvenir room, and a hidden cards room. This game is worthy of being a collectors edition. The only negatives are lack of a back button and the fact that the game is very linear and simple. But the unique, varied, and innovative game play make this game a hot ticket!

Favorite

Eipix is my favorite gaming company. They have the best hidden object games. Love the story lines and characters, and especially graphics. Games are fun.

Dead Right with Dead Reckoning: Brassfield Manor

Brassfield Manor hooked me from the first with classy Art Deco costumes and furnishings. You are a detective trying to solve the murder of Mr. Greer. As luck would have it, his guests were locked in the house playing a Murder Mystery Weekend. They are captive -- but who is the killer? You have his children, his business partner, all the usual suspects! You have your Handy Dandy Detective Kit, and you get to question everyone to your hearts content. Everyone has a motive, so who will you arrest? There are also Morphing Items to collect, and "Tarocchi Cards" with pictures of masks on them in each scene. I love searching around old mansions, and the Hidden Object scenes are complex. Sometimes you must find one set of items to reveal the next list of search items. You may also choose to play Bubble Pop instead. Puzzles have been interesting, and I am having fun! More games like this one, please!

Big Fish got it right on this game!

Love the fact that there are no wizards, etc. just normal characters that keep you in suspense and guessing at every turn. Your the detective trying to solve a murder and there are twists and turns at every corner. I am glad I took a chance and brought the game. I was not disappointed. Bring more games like this with normal characters and places and I will keep buying!

Crappy Dark Graphics

Boring and too dark. Horrible graphics. Worst BF game Ive played so far, and Ive been playing well over two years. This is the first game I have ever deleted before I finished. That includes the bonus play. I deleted after only a few minutes. I need to pay more attention to the actual creators of the games. There is clearly a difference.

Great Game! 4.5⭐️

I loved everything about this game except the graphics werent very clear or colorful. Other than that this game has everything I look for in a HOG!

Dead Reckoning: Brassfield Manor by LynxMinx

Now you all know how highly I rate EIPIX as a rule, but for some reason I was bored by this game! Not that it didnt have its merits! The graphics were beautiful, as it took place during the Roaring 20s. Inventory was labeled and there were plus objects to assemble. There was a marked teleport map, according to how you set your game. Transition between scenes was instantaneous. Morphing objects only in the HO scenes, which had a lot of variation. Lots of different puzzles and games. The plot was a murder mystery, and instead of a journal you have an evidence board. Objectives were regularly updated. You collect masks and tariocchi cards. I felt the game did not flow well, because I prefer a journal to an evidence board. I really hate having to exit a game to access a map! The game was a decent length with many gorgeous locations, but it was glitchy at times with inventory placement, and it just wasnt that unusual or exciting to me! That doesnt mean it wasnt a decent game; I just felt bored playing. And no, I am not adding a star just because there were no rats! Lynxie sends ❤️

Nice one

love love this game

No Sound

Game is ok, but sound wont work. Tried restarting, reinstalling, and updating. Nothing...

Dead Reckoning has a glitch!

I was unable to complete the game because of a hidden object glitch. After completing the puzzle,it kept sending me to the same hidden object. Happened at the box at the entrance. Annoing!

Not boring but graphics could be better

I agree with a former review on graphics being subpar but Im not a big fan of Eipiex games graphics anyways. All their games are hard on visuals to me. But the game was really fun. I loved both! Everything worked well and fun mini games so its still a 5 for me. A must play!

Stuck

I am unable to retrieve the hammer so I cannot continue with the game. Very frustrating to have wasted money on this game. Buy at your own risk.

Dead Reckoning

Fascinating, intriguing, beautiful. Interesting and captivating story line. I love the mini games as well. This is the best game Ive played in some time. Please do another one.

Buggy

Tried to finish the hidden object game, box near entrance, and am stuck. Time for a bug fix release, Eipix!

Love these Murder Mysteries
